Fossils Fuel Travel Boom

Dinosaur fans worldwide were thrilled by the news of discovery of thousands of fossilized dinosaur footprints near the town of Zhucheng in eastern China this week. And the find is good news for another area long famed for its dinosaur remains.
Yushe County in the northern Chinese province of Shanxi is famed for its abundant ancient fossils. Now it hopes to cash in on "fossil fever" to promote its local tourism industry.
The county has been renowned in the region as the "Fossil County" for nearly half a century. Experts say some of the fossilized remains of vertebrates fund underground in the area can be dated as far back as seven million years ago.
