If you were thinking of buying Chinese modern art, now could be the best time to look for a bargain. At least that's what some experts think about the current market. Before the financial crisis, buyers from across the world flocked to the heart of China's modern art world - the 798 art district in Beijing – forking out millions of dollars for the most popular pieces.
As a result, between 2002 and 2007, the price of Chinese art rocketed. The quality, on the other hand, dropped as artists tried to cash in on the interest.
