To much fanfare in China's state media and in the financial press, China's stock market regulators recently introduced a host of new trading tools and products for investors. It's being sold as an important step in the modernization of the country's financial markets. Unfortunately, the new tools may not be able to deliver all the benefits that China's financial authorities have promised.
